Konami brought bad news to those waiting this fall efootball PES to change the new generation. In a blog article on the publisher's website, the development team, PES Productions, indicates the next Pro Evolution Soccer will take the form of a "update of the season" for current generation consoles and the PC.
"Currently, our goal is to start testing our new generation title to the middle of 2021, with an estimated release date later in the same year," continues PES Production. As for the payment of this year, the team promises that it will offer players "more than are thrills to bring them to the next generation". However, the "update" will not be in the form of downloadable content, because Konami clarified that it will be delivered as an autonomous title, with a smaller price.
Now, this is not a completely unexpected news, the developer revealing, via a pes 2022 Teaser Trailer, they work to shape from zero the new generation entry into the Unreal Engine. This is a first for PSE the team, because the series adopted the exclusive Fox engine of Konami. The team says that the change of engine aims to strengthen the "models and animations of realistic players", as well as the hope of improving physics.
PES 2020 was released on July 30, 2019 on Xbox One, PS4, PC, so it is likely that fans will see the "update of the season" very soon.
