A new update on the next mass, game — Tentatively bent Mass Effect 4 — has confirmed very good news. As you will know, the first three Massiveness, the games were executed in Unreal Engine 3, one of the best game development engines at that time and a very standard engine. The only thing Massive EFFECT Since then, Andrea de Mass Effect, changed to Frostbite, the internal engine of EA. This change caused considerable development problems for the BioWare team that did Andromeda of Mass Effect, which ended well below the Standard that had established the trilogy, in part thanks to an extensive list of technical problems. That said, a new job list has confirmed that not only the next delivery of the series does not use Frostbite, but is returning to Unreal Engine. More specifically, the list of works reveals that the game is using Unreal Engine 5, the last and quite new iteration of Unreal Engine, which is already showing signs of being able to produce a tremendous graphic fidelity.
What does this mean for Mass Effect 4 ? Well, it should lead to a better product. Frostbite is an engine originally designed for first-person shooting games. Not only does it do not lend well to the action shooters in third person, but it is also simply a more difficult engine to use and a motor lower than Unreal Engine 5.
That said, for now, take this update with a grain of salt, since it is possible that the job list has defective information, but this seems unlikely. At the time of publication, neither BioWare nor EA have commented on this annotated update of the game. If this changes, we will update the story accordingly.
Currently, it is not known when the next game of Mass Effect will be launched. In fact, we do not even know which platforms will be launched. What we do know is that it is neither close to the release, and when it is finally launch, it will probably be through PC, PS5, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X.
