CD Project Red Grants a first look at The Witcher 3 for Steam Deck. Opens a portal into the world and plays The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, wherever you want - as soon as Steam Deck is available, the developers write. In the attached video, the makers show filtered gameplay from the current current gene version of their role-playing hits. There are not many game scenes to see. However, the material shown leaves a good impression: The Witcher 3 seems to run smoothly on steam deck - at least in the scene shown, in which straight on the plode rides into a city.
How well The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt strikes steam deck in combat scenes and other computational cutouts, will still have to show. Lastly, we reported among other things via the first benchmark test of the PC handheld. In the test sessions Cyberpunk 2077, the current work of the Witcher makers, under high settings between 20 and 30 frames per second.
The ego shooter Doom Eternal came at low settings to 60 frames per second, with custom settings on average 46 fps. The Action Adventure Shadow of the Tomb Raider in turn achieved a slightly more than 30 percent at high attitudes. Whether the Witcher 3 moves in similar FPS areas will have to show. Steam Deck is expected to be delivered to the first pre-order in December. The prices for the handheld system start at 419 euros.
