While the Ki of Madden NFL 22 may be harder this year, many of the same tactics apply when it comes to defense and attack. You should be careful when opponents try to flank them or run long pass games - they can do by paying attention to the hard and soft squats (where the cloud surfaces cover everything in between).
On many occasions there will be man-to-man or 1V1 scenarios. Knowing how to defend yourself in these cases, the key to victory is. To optimize your defense in these scenarios best, press Y or triangle when the round starts, and then press one of the two buttons again to get more options. You can then choose the defenders who compete against every attacking player.
Another useful trick is the shadow cover - just press y / triangle and then set the right stick to an area on the field. This offers defense in 1V1 scenarios. Legal punches are most useful when protecting the outside - left snippets protects the interior. Top flicks offer as the name implies a shadow cover in the top areas, while a wiping down the underlying areas covers.
When planning your attack, it is important to know all routes on the field and knowing how your opponent will take you. Follow the locations of your recipients and where they can be positioned. The use of curve routes is still a practicable strategy, but try not to exploit them too much. Mix your games and try different formations.
It may be tempting to go to the bomb as often as possible with your quarterback as often as possible to get a lot of yard coverage. However, it can also lead to more interception (and they are predictable). The holding at different strategies and mixing ensures the success in the long term. Of course, it does not hurt to try different offensive playbooks to get an advantage. Further information about the best playbooks can be found here in our guide.
