Already at the end of 2019, the Canadian Montreal-based Developer Studio Red Barrels announced the ongoing work on the cooperative horror adventure The Outlast Trials.
For the chagrin of the waiting players, it became quite silent for The Outlast Trials in recent months, so that the following reports should only surprise the fewest. As the people responsible of Red Barrels allowed to gave the Gamescom 2021, the release of the horror adventure will move to the coming year.
The first game scenes from the horror title
Quasi as a small consolation plaster released Red Barrels as part of yesterday's Opening Night live events a first gameplay video for The Outlast Trials, which gives us an impression of what is coming to us in the cooperative horror title. So far, The Outlast Trials was only confirmed for the PC. Since the two predecessors also appeared for the consoles, we can probably assume that the PlayStation and Xbox systems will be supplied at a later date.

Set in the turmoil of the Cold War, the new plant of Red Barrels puts in the role of two test persons, which were kidnapped by the secondary Murkoff Corporation. In a secret Murkoff facility, players are exposed to a series of physical and spiritual examinations, tormented by iconic characters and challenged alone or in teams to indicate mentally healthy from the exams.
According to their own information, the developers of Red Barrels want to provide the Coop approach for fresh wind in the Outlast universe.
